1. Because English is her second language and she went through that process too.
2. Be confident. You have to practise English trying to use all the opportunities to communicate with native speakers so that you can build your confidence.
3. Try to use the medias (radios and TV programmes). That will help to train your ears and when you become a good listener you'll also become a good speaker.
4. Start writing shopping lists and then memos. Ask your teacher for feedback
5. In addition to textbooks and materials that instructors give you, try to read newspapers. Start with simple things like the weather report.
6. You are learning English by using English every day.
