  1. A: So, what do you think?
B: Well, I don’t know about the St Andrews one. I’m not that keen on golf.
A: No, me neither. Plus I’d rather go somewhere a bit warmer, really.
    B: Yeah, me too.
A: Well, how about the second one? ‘A fortnight in Sri Lanka’?
B: Mmm – sounds warmer than St Andrews! Or what about this one? ‘A seven-night tour of Egypt’?
A: Oh yeah, I like the sound of a hot air balloon over Luxor.
B: Definitely. And I rather fancy the idea of a Nile cruise.
A: Not to mention a trip to the Pyramids!
B: Yeah, that one sounds good. Let’s just have a look at the last one, though.
A: ‘Cruise Bali to Hobart’. Where’s Hobart?
B: No idea. Never heard of it.
A: Me neither. To be honest, I’m not too keen on long cruises. I mean, a short one on the Nile would be fine, but three weeks of it could be a bit much.
B: Mmm, could be a bit boring. How much is it again, though, just out of interest?
A: Er, let’s have a look. It says here... £6,566 per person!
B: Per person! No way! That rules that one out, then!
A: Certainly does! So it’s a choice between Sri Lanka and Egypt?
B: Yeah. I don’t know, I’m not that struck on the Sri Lanka one – we don’t really know what there is to do.
A: True, but we could ring up and find out.
B: Could do. Do you want me to do that?
A: Don’t mind. I’ll do it if you like.
B: OK. Or else we could just go for the Egypt one.
A: Up to you. I’m happy to give the Sri Lanka people a ring just to see. After all, Egypt’s only one week, and Sri Lanka’s two for almost the same price.
B: OK, then, why don’t you give them a ring?
